Product Vision in
MANDAROON
Here is a raw first attempt:
“The Product” will be a mobile app for teachers of a foreign language and the students in their class that allows the teachers to post vocabulary lists from the textbooks they are using and to provide additional information for each vocabulary item that is not included in the original material. The teacher is able to choose which students have access to the lists (this will typically be all students taking a particular course) and to invite them using their email addresses.
Here is the description in the classic Vision Statement format:
For teachers & students of Mandarin Chinese
Who want more collaboration & context in their vocabulary memorization tools
Mandaroon is a mobile application
That allows users to post and share vocabulary lists with additional information provided by the app’s data analysis capabilities and by hints and tips contributed by other users
Unlike Pleco, Quizlet, and other related apps,
Our product allows for collaboration at the word level, the ability for a user to compare items across lists that they select, and to filter hints, tips, and comments by the users who contributed them.
And here is the vision laid out on Pichler’s Product Vision Board
