Below is one user story for the Vocab App. It would be prioritized after the basic vocabulary listing feature.

• As a <role:learner>
• I want to <goal: click on a vocabulary item and get a drop-down list of the 5 most recent sentences in past lessons and first 5 sentences in upcoming lessons in which the word appears>
• So that I can <reason:
  • be reminded of where I have seen the word before
  • get a preview of where I will see it again
  • get example sentences specific to the book
  • get a sense of how common the vocabulary item is (and therefore, how high priority it is) >
• And I know I am done when <criteria:
  • the dropdown list toggles when clicking the vocabulary item
  • the vocabulary item is in bold within each example sentence
  • the lesson number for each sentence is in parentheses at the end of the sentence
  • the phrase “no other sentences found” appears in the dropdown for one-time items>
